This is the only North American animal with ivory teeth. Ed caps the root of the tooth and adds semi-precious stones to the cap, or cuts off the root and uses the end for his jewelry. If the tooth is hollow, Ed incorporates a second cut slab into an inlay artform. He uses lapis, turquoise, onyx, and malachite to inlay a splash of color into the ivory. Each piece becomes an original shaped work of art.
